I have been going to Dr. Rens for over 20 years. I have many issues with my teeth over the years and he has always been able to solve the issues quickly and pain free. Most important, I have never had to go back again to have the same issue worked on twice. I cannot say enough about his professionalism and sold treatment he has shown for dozens of teeth issues. You will not be disappointed with his work or advice.

My mom, my 4 year old daughter, and myself have been patients of Dr.Rens for close to 10 years (with the exception of my daughter of course, only about a year or two for her). We continue to see Dr. Rens because of the lovely welcoming staff, the convenient location with direct underground parking, onsite onlay and crown machine so you don't have to wait weeks to get your dental issues taken care of, and overall, how easy the experience is every time we go. My daughter adores Dr. Rens, which for a 4 year old is saying a lot! And personally, I've had nothing but great experiences with them. Their thoroughness, kindness, compassion, and sincerity are overtly obvious upon meeting with the staff. Dr. Rens runs the business with his wife, Dr. Zimmerman, which I think is adorable and adds to the quaintness of the office experience. Overall, I would give them a definite 5 star rating because they sure do deserve it!

How many people can say that he actually look forward to a visit to their dentist? Well, I can tell you that the friendliness, casual professionalism, and the most up-to-date methods of dental care at the office of Doctors Rens and Zimmerman make this true for both myself and my wife. Even though we drive from the East County for our visits to their office, David Rens and Ann Zimmerman are so good at what they do, and combined with their staff's friendliness and helpful nature, any extra effort on our part is trivial. We will continue to look forward to our regular visits for years to come, and for those "irregular" visits that happen from time-to-time, we will be comforted in the knowledge that we are in the best possible hands.

In times when it seems more and more like relationships with your healthcare practitioners are entirely impersonal, time and numbers driven, it's refreshing to know there's still a few good ones like Dr. Rens our there. I've been lucky enough to have Dr. Rens as my dentist now for 15+ years, and despite the fact I've moved several times, as long as he's in practice, he'll be my dentist! As a father, Dr. Rens is the type of dentist I'd trust with my own children - he's that good! He's made even the most complicated procedure quick and simple. Dr. Rens takes the time to get to know you and your specific needs. The standard of care is top notch and he has never recommended a procedure I felt like I didn't need or ended up regretting after the fact. His pricing is fair and flexible, and unlike much larger practices he's even handled a weekend emergency or two for me. Exceptional care is the little things like that. I never hesitate to recommend Dr. Rens to family and friends!

Dr. Rens combines skill and caring in the highest degree. His treatment plans are thorough but conservative which is something I appreciate. He does his own cleaning which means you spend a lot of clinical time with the doctor, not just for procedures.

I give them 10 stars, but the field only allows 5! My wife Diane and I have been seeing Dr. Rens and Dr. Zimmerman since they opened their practice. We couldn't imagine going anywhere else. They are brilliant dentists who will always go above and beyond to help their patients. Dave has seen me after hours for dental emergencies several times. They are compassionate, empathetic and kind people. As parents they have raised three of the most amazing kids who are equally as brilliant as mom and dad. In case you couldn't tell Diane and I love Dave and Ann Marie!

I have been seeing Dr. Rens for some years now and drive down from Carlsbad to continue to do so..he's that good. Wonderful sense of humor which always puts you at ease. He has never caused me any pain and is spot on with his dentistry. In years past at other dentists, it has always been the hygienist who has done the teeth cleaning. Dr. Rens does it himself and can point out any problem areas. I would give him an 11 out of 10 :-D !!

Dr. Rens has been our dentist for almost 15 years; he's so professional, friendly and helpful. That goes for his office staff as well! They always run right on time - which I greatly appreciate! I have to say too that we live about 20 minutes from their office and we could easily find a dentist closer to our home - but that is not an option as we know we would not be able to find someone that matches Dr. Rens!

I highly recommend Dr. Rens and Dr. Zimmerman. My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Rens for about 10 years now and even though there are closer dentists to us in Pacific Beach, Dr. Rens is worth the drive. Over the years, we have had fillings, crowns, bondings, extractions, and cleanings done by Dr. Rens, and he always does an outstanding job. He doesn't try to talk you into unnecessary procedures, he has an excellent bedside manner, and he makes an effort to get to know you. I would really like to thank Dr. Rens, as he did an amazing job on the bonding of my front tooth last week, as well as cleaning stains from my front teeth I didn't think were possible to clean! I would also like to thank Dr. Zimmerman, Lindsay, and Cherie for their kindness, help, and expertise over the years. Everyone who works here is wonderful!
